I’ve received a faulty/damaged item

We hold all vendors on BuyOrganic Nigeria to high quality standards. If what you received is clearly substandard, spoiled, or not as described, we want to know about it.

What Counts as a Faulty or Substandard Item?

  • Fresh produce that is visibly rotten, mouldy, or spoiled upon delivery
  • Seeds or seedlings that are dead, diseased, or clearly non-viable
  • Farm inputs (fertilisers, pesticides) that are expired, opened, or tampered with
  • Equipment or tools that are broken or non-functional on arrival
  • A product that is materially different from what was described or photographed on the listing

 

What to Do

  1. Photograph or video the item(s) immediately upon discovery
  2. Do not use, consume, or discard the item before reporting the issue
  3. Contact the vendor through your Order Details page with your evidence
  4. Allow the vendor 48 hours to respond
  5. If unresolved, escalate to BuyOrganic Nigeria support at our Contact Us page

Our support team reviews all quality complaints seriously. Vendors who repeatedly deliver substandard goods face suspension from BuyOrganic Nigeria. Your report makes the marketplace better and safer for all buyers.

 

Quality Standards on BuyOrganic Nigeria

All vendors on our platform agree to our Vendor Quality Guidelines when they register. These guidelines require that:

  • Products are accurately described and photographed
  • Fresh produce is harvested and packaged in a manner that preserves quality during transit
  • Expiry dates are clearly stated for all packaged goods
  • Farm inputs meet regulatory standards applicable in Nigeria
